Why Microfiber Is Better Than Cotton for Car Care?
Open any car enthusiast's detailing kit and you'll find one thing in common — microfiber towels. Lots of them.
For decades, cotton was the default. It was what everyone used, what everyone recommended, and what was sitting in every garage and kitchen drawer. But professional detailers moved away from cotton a long time ago, and there are very good reasons why.

What Actually Is Microfiber?

- High GSM — higher GSM generally means a denser, more absorbent towel
- Soft, split fibers — the split structure is what gives microfiber its trapping ability
- Quality edge stitching — edges should be tagless or wrapped, never rough
- Automotive-specific design — general-purpose microfiber cloths aren't built for paint
A premium towel, properly maintained, can last for years and pay for itself many times over.
